The Centre Professionnel St. François d’Assise (CPSFA), formerly called Pwojè Fanm (“Women’s Projects”) is a lifeline for young women and men seeking practical skills and a path out of poverty. Today, we have an extraordinary opportunity to expand that lifeline—and we need partners who believe in transforming potential into lasting progress.

CPSFA proposes building two new facilities that will strengthen training, create income, and open doors for both students and the surrounding community.

The Cosmetology Building

The new Cosmetology Building will open a pathway into a respected, income-generating profession. With a Studio and Classroom, instructors will teach hairdressing and nail art. This building is the first priority in the expansion plan. Cost: $28,987— a modest amount to launch an entirely new career field for our students.

The Atelier (Workshop)

In the same spirit, this area will empower students to turn their skills into livelihoods. By giving them a Showroom/Shop to sell their wares, a Preparation Room to produce food for sale, a Classroom for skill development with sewing machines for rental by the community, and a Bathroom for full functionality, this space will become a vibrant engine of economic opportunity. Cost: $35,170 — an investment that will pay dividends for generations.

Construction is ready to start as soon as the funds are available, and the goal is to have at least the Cosmetology Classroom ready for the 2026-27 school year.
